Get Involved - Don't Wait to be Asked!

Toddington Rovers Youth FC is a non-profit making organisation managed through volunteer help from parents, guardians and people interested in football.

Everyone currently involved in the club was at one time like you... on the sidelines watching. Getting involved seems like a big step and an even bigger commitment; it doesn't have to be like that.

The club understand that we all lead hectic lives. Trying to balance work commitments, family commitments and our own personal time can be hard. People often feel that they do not want to volunteer their help as they may not be able to 'commit'... not a problem, any amount of time you can offer is a help to the club and the players.

How are we run?

The club has developed a structure to maintain its high standards, which include the setting up of an Academy.

Club Management...

A committee, consisting of, manages the club:

Chairman
Vice Chairman
Secretary
Treasurer
Child Protection Officer

Volunteer Coordinator

Social Secretary
Minutes Secretary
& Committee Members

The committee meets every month to discuss issues surrounding the club, plan the way forward and support the managers and other volunteers.

We do not lose sight of the fact that the club is for the players and endeavour to do what is right for them.

Team Management...

When talking about commitment we cannot fail to realise that running a team is probably the biggest commitment of all. However we looked at this and tried to make it as easy as possible by creating a team management structure...

Each team should aim to split the managerial tasks by implementing the following proposed structure...

Team Manager... runs the team
Asst. Manager... assists the manager, fills in if manager cannot attend.
Team Administrator... takes care of administrative duties of the team, liases with club secretary, ensures that players are contacted and informed of team activities.
Team Reporter... takes photos and writes match reports and updates for the website and local papers.

Other more experienced team managers will also assist you in your tasks, offering advice and help. The club also asks that you take the 1st4Sports Level 1 in Coaching Football, this award will be sponsored by the club and will give you a basic insight into coaching youth football.

Social Committee...

Possibly the most important part of the club!!!

We are not able to put in place many of the initiatives that we wish to unless funds are available. The Social Committee is the backbone of the Fundraising initiatives. The money raised has gone to paying for such things as new equipment, Kit etc.

If you think that you can help in any way please contact our volunteer coordinator - Graham Bull and he will forward your information to the relevant team manager.
